Great News! Lots of grant aid coming our way! WOW!

Our Grant Genie has been working away applying for grants for our scout group so we now have

  • a grant of just under €500 (thank you Kildare Co. Co!)  to build a nice big compost bin to handle all the green waste from around the garden and church.

  • $5,000 (about €3,800 - Thank you Intel!) for renovations to the garden at the rear of the Scout Den.  We'll be looking for all hands to volunteer to help in this work!  Details of the programme and what is happening will be sent out to everyone soon.

  • €300 from Kildare VEC towards our youth work.

  • and finally Intel Ireland will once again be making their matching grant payment later in 2012.

Our heartfelt thanks to all those who have helped with grant applications this year, it's really great when it pays off!
PARENTS & FRIENDS

  • Well done to Fundraising Ctee and all the beavers, cubs, scouts and ventures who were bag packing and ticket selling.

  • We raised just over €4,100 this year on both Tickets & bag pack, a great result especially in these tough times!
  • Great job everyone!

  • Grown out of your uniform?  Buying new kit?  Don't forget our Uniform & Gear Recycling scheme, see Parents & Friends Page for more details

  • We also have our bursary scheme for all scouts in all sections if help is needed to purchase personal kit for camp or activities.  All you need to do is speak in confidence to your section leader and we will do our best to help.

  • Our thanks to Dermot Kerrins (Beaver Dad!) of www.allscapes.ie  for his help in keeping the grass in our Garden strimmed and tidy. Thanks also to Conor Deegan for his help in shelving out our big patrol box to use for storage.  Every little helps!

Interested in joining Scouts?

Or are there younger siblings who would like to join their older brothers & sisters in Scouting?

The bad news is that all our sections are full at present, but the good news is that nothing stays the same forever.

The only way to join our waiting list is to complete and return an application form.  Although siblings are given priority in our group policy, they must be on the waiting list before a place can be offered.

So don't delay, get the forms in today!
